How to play on Sheetwright
Two guides, one table: pick your side of the screen. Everything here describes what the app actually does today — encounters are in beta, so details keep improving as tables play.
Player guide
Build a character, join a campaign, take actions in encounters, answer defense and intrusion prompts, play from Discord, or bring an AI assistant.
GM guide
Prep your campaign in the control center — threads, scenes, clues, handouts and the session workspace, with a worked Ninth World example — run every encounter kind, and export the whole campaign when it's done.
Social encounters (GMs)
Run the talk like a scene, not a fight: spotlight instead of turns, disposition as the health bar, leverage, promises, clocks — and the play-by-post dice bridge that makes Discord rolls part of the scene.
Discord bot
Every /sheetwright command in one place — playing from chat, running your table as GM, adding the bot to your server, and a worked play-by-post week from both sides of the screen.
Cypher v2 differences
Playing a Character Rulebook table: wounds, block/dodge defense, First/Last actions, recovery healing, the new item shapes and resource points — with a companion page for GMs running v2.
Glossary
The Character Rulebook's term index — every game term mapped onto the concept that defines it, from ability and asset to wound and XP.
Your table stays yours. Discord and AI assistants act only as the linked player or GM — hidden GM information stays permission-controlled, and every action is recorded to the campaign's history.
